To learn more about Uptime Industrial and the core values that shape our company today, visit https://www.uptimeindustrial.com/about/.Reporting to the Area Manager – Carolinas, the Millwright / Maintenance Technician will work on an industrial project in Fort Mill, South Carolina, supporting the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial equipment and machinery.
This is a hands-on role for someone with strong mechanical aptitude and industrial experience who is comfortable troubleshooting equipment, completing repairs, and working alongside other skilled tradespeople to keep equipment operating safely and reliably.
This position is available on 2nd shift (3:00pm–11:30pm) or 3rd shift (11:00pm–7:30am), Monday through Friday, with 8 paid hours per shift.
Key responsibilities include:
- Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, install, and upgrade mechanical equipment and systems;Take ownership of your work from start to finish, ensuring it meets scope and quality standards;Communicate directly with customers, keeping them informed and setting clear expectations throughout the job;Work independently and collaboratively with other trades depending on the project;Work safely and follow all company and regulatory requirements, including completing daily FLRAs.
The ideal candidate is an experienced Millwright / Maintenance Technician who enjoys industrial work, variety, and continuously developing their skills. You’re a strong troubleshooter who takes pride in quality work and enjoys exposure to different equipment, customer sites, and industries. Whether you’re looking to strengthen your welding and fabrication skills, tackle new mechanical challenges, or learn from other skilled tradespeople, you’re motivated to become a more well-rounded Millwright. You bring a strong commitment to safety, customer service, teamwork, and sharing your knowledge with apprentices.
Our Must HavesIndustrial Mechanic (Millwright) certification/ticket or equivalent trade qualification;Experience working for a mechanical or industrial contractor and/or in industrial environments such as food & beverage, manufacturing, distribution, recycling, or processing facilities;Strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair skills;The ability to adapt to different customer sites, equipment, and working environments;A valid driver's license;Your own basic hand tools and approved safety footwear;A strong commitment to safe, high-quality workmanship;The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with customers, apprentices, and other trades.Your Rewards Our most important offering to anyone that joins the Uptime Industrial team is our culture of innovation, achievement, and ownership.
