SuccessFactors Technical Consultant (CPI/BTP)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SuccessFactors Technical Consultant (CPI/BTP) based in Canada.

This is a key technical consulting role focused on designing, integrating, and supporting SAP SuccessFactors solutions in complex enterprise environments.
You will develop and optimize integrations between cloud and on-premise SAP systems using SAP CPI and BTP.
The role combines hands-on integration development with client engagement, solution design, and technical problem-solving.
You will work across APIs, middleware, security, data transformation, and integration patterns to deliver reliable business solutions.
You will also contribute to workshops, demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, training materials, and pre-sales initiatives.

Accountabilities
  • Design, develop, configure, and support inbound and outbound integrations between cloud and on-premise SAP environments.
  • Configure and extend standard iFlows while designing custom iFlows, local subprocesses, exception subprocesses, and robust exception-handling mechanisms.
  • Build integrations using SAP CPI adapters, including SuccessFactors, OData, SFTP, IDoc, SOAP, HTTP, Process Direct, and REST.
  • Develop value mappings and Groovy scripts and incorporate them effectively into integration flows.
  • Implement data transformations across formats such as JSON, XML, and CSV using appropriate CPI integration patterns, including message transformation, enrichment, and splitting.
  • Manage security artifacts, encryption and decryption mechanisms, SSH keys, and other integration security requirements.
  • Support SAP BTP initiatives and contribute to API management and EDI integration solutions where required.
  • Gather and analyze client business requirements and translate them into clear, practical technical solutions.
  • Support functional and technical leads during client workshops and contribute to the preparation of workshop and training materials.
  • Design and support proof-of-concepts, demonstrations, and presentations showcasing proposed technical solutions.
  • Contribute to pre-sales activities, including solution roadmaps, estimates, and RFP/RFQ responses.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and maintain clear, concise solution definitions and technical documentation.
Requirements
  • 3–5 years of professional experience as a Technical Consultant, with strong hands-on expertise in SAP SuccessFactors integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP CPI and SAP BTP integration capabilities and architecture.
  • Practical experience implementing IAS, IPS, and Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions.
  • Extensive experience with middleware technologies such as SAP BTP, Boomi, and Integration Center.
  • Strong understanding of integration adapters, iFlows, APIs, data transformation, exception handling, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Confident ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and on the client side.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Experience with SAP HCM in on-premise environments is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Experience with Generative AI and Machine Learning is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying technical and process improvements.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with functional consultants, technical leads, clients, and other stakeholders.
