About Global Psychological

Global Psychological provides specialized educational and therapeutic services to schools, students, and families. Our team works collaboratively with school staff and administrators to support students' academic, social, emotional, and developmental needs.

Unlike traditional school-year contract positions, Global Psychological offers permanent W-2 employment, with ongoing professional support and opportunities to grow your career.

About the Role

We're seeking Occupational Therapists (OTs) and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) to join our growing team in full-time, in-person school-based positions. You'll help students develop the functional skills they need to participate more independently in their educational environments and everyday activities.

Depending on your credentials, you'll provide occupational therapy services or implement individualized interventions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. You'll collaborate with teachers and other school professionals, support students' motor development and sensory processing, and help monitor progress toward educational and functional goals.

This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students while working alongside a supportive team of occupational therapy and other education and related-service professionals.

What You'll Do
  • Provide or implement individualized occupational therapy interventions to support students' functional and educational goals, consistent with your credentials and scope of practice.

  • Help students develop fine motor skills, sensory processing, motor coordination, and other functional abilities that promote independence and participation in school activities.

  • Collaborate with teachers, school administrators, and other related-service providers to support students' educational and functional goals.

  • Help adapt classroom environments, materials, and activities to improve student access, participation, and independence.

  • Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments (OTs) or assist with screenings, assessments, and information gathering under OT supervision (COTAs).

  • Monitor student progress through observation, data collection, and documentation.

  • Contribute to IEP development and participate in IEP meetings, providing relevant information about student needs and progress.

  • Communicate with families, teachers, and other members of the educational team regarding student progress and therapy needs, consistent with your role and scope of practice.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of therapy services, student progress, and other required records.

Qualifications

For Occupational Therapists (OTs):

  • Master's degree or higher from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

  • Current state Occupational Therapy license or eligibility to obtain the required license.

  • School-based or pediatric experience preferred.

  • Familiarity with K-12 special education, IEPs, and school-based therapy services preferred.

For Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs):

  • Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.

  • Current National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.

  • Current state Occupational Therapy Assistant license or eligibility to obtain the required license.

  • School-based or pediatric experience preferred.

  • Familiarity with K-12 special education, IEPs, and school-based therapy services preferred.

For All Candidates:

  • Strong communication, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently within the appropriate scope of practice and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, documentation systems, and web-based applications.

What We Offer
  • Competitive hourly compensation based on experience, qualifications, and assignment.

  • Permanent, full-time W-2 employment.

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance options, including HMO and PPO plans.

  • Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) options.

  • 401(k) with company match.

  • Paid time off and paid holidays for eligible positions.

  • Employee Assistance Program and mental health support.

  • Voluntary life insurance and short-term disability coverage.

  • Free continuing education opportunities and professional development.

  • Access to educational coaching, testing materials, technology, and other professional resources.

  • A collaborative work environment focused on improving educational experiences for children.
