You will help implement security controls, automate audit evidence collection, harden infrastructure and container images, and improve operational practices.
You will also contribute to vulnerability remediation, secure production deployments, and incident response in a highly available environment.
The position suits a proactive problem solver who enjoys ownership, collaboration, and working in a fast-paced, cloud-native environment.
This is a fully remote role in India, with at least four hours of overlap with U.S. time zones and participation in an on-call rotation.
- Implement and maintain operational security controls across a global SaaS infrastructure, including file integrity monitoring, audit evidence collection, and infrastructure hardening.
- Partner with engineering, product, services, cybersecurity, and other technical teams to identify and implement security improvements.
- Secure cloud infrastructure, containerized applications, container images, and services running in AWS or other cloud environments.
- Automate security and operational processes using scripting, configuration management, infrastructure-as-code, and command execution frameworks.
- Support highly available production environments, participate in an on-call rotation, and independently troubleshoot and resolve operational incidents.
- Collaborate with developers to securely introduce new features and services into production.
- Work with cybersecurity teams to address vulnerabilities and infrastructure misconfigurations within established SLAs.
- Develop, improve, and document operational practices, procedures, and security processes.
- Support information security and compliance requirements, including standards and frameworks such as ISO, SOC, and SSAE 16.
- Identify opportunities to improve team efficiency, automation, security posture, and platform reliability, and take ownership of improvement projects.
- Build strong relationships across technical teams and influence security practices even when working with colleagues outside of direct reporting lines.
- Experience supporting 24x7 production operations, ideally within a highly available SaaS, cloud, or other customer-facing service environment.
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS or Azure.
- Experience with security technologies and practices including SIRP, SIEM, IDS/IPS, and WAF solutions.
- Experience securing containerized applications and container images.
- Practical experience implementing or managing file integrity monitoring (FIM).
- Experience with release automation tools such as Jenkins, as well as system administration, system configuration, and system debugging.
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python or Ruby and experience with configuration management tools such as Chef or Puppet.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, particularly Terraform, and command execution or automation frameworks.
- Strong understanding of operating systems, networking concepts, infrastructure, and technical troubleshooting methodologies.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and enforce processes and influence engineers across teams.
- Ability to work effectively in an agile, entrepreneurial, and fast-paced environment.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, another technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and maintain at least four hours of working-time overlap with U.S. time zones.
- Fully remote position based in India.
- Opportunity to work on a global, customer-facing cloud platform serving large enterprise customers.
- Exposure to modern cloud infrastructure, DevSecOps, automation, cybersecurity, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Cross-functional collaboration with engineering, product, services, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams.
- Opportunities to own security improvement initiatives and develop subject-matter expertise in operational security.
- Professional growth through hands-on work with cloud security, production operations, compliance, automation, and incident response.
- Flexible remote working environment with defined U.S. time-zone overlap.
- Participation in meaningful security and reliability initiatives that directly support enterprise-grade services.
