Senior Project Manager – Industrial / Warehouse Construction
Location: Dallas, TX
Job Type: Full-Time
Position Summary
At Smith Group of Americas, we are committed to delivering high-quality construction projects while building strong, lasting relationships with our clients and partners. We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead industrial and warehouse construction projects from pre-construction through completion.
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for overall project performance, including budget, schedule, quality, and client satisfaction. This role provides strategic leadership, oversees project teams, and ensures successful execution across all phases of construction.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all phases of construction projects, from pre-construction through closeout
Manage project budgets, schedules, and financial performance to ensure successful delivery
Oversee contract administration, including reviewing and negotiating subcontractor agreements and change orders
Collaborate with estimating and pre-construction teams during budgeting and planning phases
Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction
Lead internal project teams, including Project Managers, Superintendents, and support staff
Monitor project risks and implement proactive solutions to mitigate cost, schedule, and quality issues
Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements
Manage subcontractor performance, including procurement, coordination, and accountability
Oversee project documentation, reporting, and financial forecasting
Drive value engineering and cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality
Ensure successful project closeout, including punch list completion and final documentation
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred
Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
8–12+ years of experience in commercial construction, with a focus on industrial or warehouse projects
Minimum 3–5 years in a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager role
Strong experience managing large-scale industrial, distribution, or warehouse projects
Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
Strong knowledge of construction contracts, project financials, and cost control practices
Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite)
OSHA 30 Certified
Physical Requirements
Ability to visit job sites and walk/stand for extended periods as needed
