We’re seeking a motivated Laboratory Analyst II to support trace metals analysis in our environmental laboratory located in Kilgore, TX.
This is an exciting opportunity for a laboratory professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoys hands-on analytical testing, laboratory instrumentation, and producing accurate, high-quality data in support of environmental compliance and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and motivated by supporting daily laboratory operations, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts within a collaborative team environment.
What You’ll Do
- Perform sample preparation, trace metals analysis, and QA/QC testing in accordance with EPA methods, SOPs, and regulatory standards
- Review, validate, and document analytical data within LIMS and escalate discrepancies or abnormal findings as needed
- Perform analytical calculations and assist with preparation of laboratory reports and documentation
- Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot ICP, ICP-OES, and/or ICP-MS instrumentation and laboratory equipment
- Support QA/QC programs, audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives within a regulated laboratory environment
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to meet turnaround times and operational demands
- Perform additional duties as assigned
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related science field required; equivalent combination of education and relevant lab experience may be considered
- 1-2 years of professional hands-on analytical laboratory experience
- Demonstrated experience operating, calibrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting laboratory instrumentation, preferably ICP, ICP-OES, and/or ICP-MS systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Work Schedule
- Full-time, onsite position following a standard Monday - Friday schedule
- Ability to work outside of scheduled hours, including evenings or weekends as needed
