Job Description
Job Summary
Professional, self-motivated, and quality-focused shipping and receiving personnel to work in a fast paced and structured warehouse environment. Receives, organizes, and ships materials into or out of warehouse using a variety of equipment and techniques. Maintains organization and cleanliness within the warehouse.
Duties and responsibilities
- Place and organize materials in their assigned locationsUse of ERP system to print out purchase orders, receive purchase orders, and find product locationsMaintain accuracy and attention to detail ensuring transfers/shipments are picked and shipped according to picking ticket specificationsServe as a backup to shipping assisting when necessaryProcess purchase order discrepancies according to policyAssists in pulling/verifying pre-pull orders
- Move material using warehouse equipmentCommitment to safety and a hazard-free work environment
Qualifications
- Ability to lift carry up to up 50lbs.
- Previous warehouse experiencePrevious shipping/receiving experienceDemonstrated job stabilityValid driver’s license
Working conditions
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; significant climbing and balancing; significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. The job is performed under some temperature extremes and under conditions with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness.
