About the Role:

The Parts Driver plays a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of automotive parts to various clients and service locations across the Metro Detroit Area. This position requires a dependable individual who can efficiently manage delivery routes using light trucks while maintaining the integrity and condition of the parts transported. The Parts Driver acts as a vital link between the Dealership and it's customers, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Attention to detail and the ability to understand and follow instructions precisely are essential to prevent errors and delays. Ultimately, this role supports the overall success of the parts distribution process by ensuring that all deliveries are completed safely, on time, and in excellent condition.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record suitable for operating light trucks.
• Proven ability to understand and follow detailed instructions accurately.
• Experience driving light trucks or similar vehicles in a delivery capacity.
• Basic knowledge of automotive parts and their handling requirements.
• Ability to lift and carry parts safely, sometimes weighing up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in parts delivery or logistics within the automotive industry.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning software.
• Strong customer service skills and professional communication abilities
• Ability to work flexible hours, or overtime as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Operate light trucks to deliver automotive parts to designated locations within assigned routes.
• Load and unload parts carefully to prevent damage and ensure accurate order fulfillment.
• Follow detailed delivery instructions and schedules to meet customer expectations and company standards.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, including obtaining signatures and documenting any delivery issues.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
