- Applies welding knowledge and skills to fabricate products.
- Completes work orders based on production goals.
- Utilizes analytical skills to determine the most efficient and effective tools and methods to apply to work.
- Take precise measurements to ensure fit of product components.
- Maintains equipment in good working condition and conducts regular maintenance on equipment. This may include but is not limited to switching out filler wire, maintaining wire speed and voltage accuracy, and cleaning used equipment.
- Reports any issues, malfunctions, or defects related to parts, machinery, and work orders.
- Reads engineering drawings.
- Adheres to quality standards as set forth by operations.
- Performs quality analysis of completed work and escalate concerns to supervisor.
- Communicate with colleagues to ensure standard operating procedures are appropriately followed.
- Follows safety standards as set forth by operating procedures.
- Interacts with heavy machinery on an as-needed basis.
- Wear mandatory safety gear. This includes a welding mask, welding gloves, a welding jacket, safety glasses when not welding, and a safety vest when not welding.
- High school diploma or equivalent certificate preferred
- Ability to read and comprehend written and verbal instructions and follow established procedures
- Understand basic math including fractions, percentages, addition, subtraction, etc.
- Ability to use technology at a basic level
- Possesses a team-player attitude
- Ability to think critically and solve problems
- Learn quickly to absorb new information, adapt to change, and apply new skills
