- Develop and enhance components of the virtualization stack related to KVM hypervisors and QEMU device emulation.
- Optimize I/O performance for virtualized storage and networking devices.
- Integrate hypervisor technologies with broader platform services and distributed storage systems.
- Improve resource allocation efficiency and performance across virtual machine environments.
- Enhance support and compatibility for guest operating systems and virtualization features.
- Contribute to the advancement of open-source virtualization technologies through development and collaboration with upstream communities.
- Implement and strengthen low-level security mechanisms protecting hypervisors and emulators from untrusted code execution.
- Troubleshoot issues, fix bugs, monitor upstream developments, and maintain platform stability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and stakeholders to deliver scalable infrastructure solutions.
- Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and architecture improvements within the virtualization ecosystem.
- Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience focused on systems-level development.
- Strong expertise in the C programming language.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Linux systems and virtualization technologies.
- Proven experience working with QEMU/KVM virtualization environments.
- Solid understanding of x86 architecture concepts including virtual memory, interrupts, and privilege rings.
- Experience developing and debugging low-level user-space system software on Linux.
- Familiarity with performance optimization, debugging tools, and systems analysis methodologies.
- Understanding of virtualization-related technologies such as PCI, SCSI, and ACPI is considered an advantage.
- Experience contributing patches to Linux Kernel or QEMU/KVM projects is highly valued.
- Exposure to ARMv8 architecture and virtualization extensions is a plus.
