Work hours: Part Time, 24 hours a week. Six 8-hour evening shifts per 2-week pay period (includes every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)

Pharmacy Department highlights:
- A diverse and inclusive pharmacy team with a focus on teamwork and exceptional patient care.
- Pharmacists are key members of the healthcare team actively participating in emergent bedside care (stokes, level I traumas, and code blues)
- The pharmacy department leverages advanced technologies (EPIC, Pyxis, carousel, KitCheck, etc.) to optimize patient care
- Pharmacists provide care to a diverse patient population including ED, ICUs, ORs, Women and Neonatal, Oncology, and Medical/Surgical
- Pharmacists participate in multiple clinical initiatives including anticoagulation management, renal monitor/adjustments, and Antimicrobial Stewardship
Here's What You Need
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. is required
- Other - CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency is required
- 1 Year hospital experience within last 3 years is strongly preferred OR
- Recent graduates (within past 3 years) is strongly preferred
- Texas Pharmacist License upon hire is required
- Must be proficient in written and verbal English language communication skills, computer proficient and possess basic math skills.
What You Will Do
- Communicating effectively, building positive professional relationships and role modeling teamwork.
- Timely and accurate support of medication distribution including medication order verification and oversight of pharmacy technician responsibilities.
- Provision of clinical pharmacy services for the safe and efficient patient care.
- Ensuring the accuracy of one's own work as well as maintaining required competencies and other documentation. Consistent support of the department's quality improvement and patient safety standards programs and initiatives is also required.
- Ongoing professional development and growth.
- Not only the management of one's own time but shares the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage) and discovering new process efficiencies.
