Diagnostic Aide in Odessa, Texas at Medical Center Hospital

Under the supervision of x-ray technologists, the Diagnostic Aide will assist in patient care, clerical & transport duties.

I. Qualifications:

A. Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Acceptance to accredited radiology program preferred.

B. Training and Experience:

Previous hospital experience is helpful. Current BLS certification.

C. Job Knowledge:

PACS/RIS computer equipment, CR equipment, transport equipment, proper transportation techniques.

Unusual Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

A. Required to lift and transfer patients for transportation and treatment. Must be able to stand for long periods of time as well as push patients in wheelchairs/beds/stretchers with accompanying medical devices.

B. Possible exposure to infectious diseases and radiation.
