Job Description
AdvantixxRCM is seeking a professional and highly organized Client Account Manager to manage relationships with healthcare practices and organizations utilizing our revenue cycle management services.
The Client Account Manager serves as the primary point of contact between AdvantixxRCM and assigned clients and is responsible for client communication, onboarding, service coordination, reporting, issue resolution, satisfaction, and retention.
This position does not replace the billing team. Instead, the Account Manager coordinates client needs with AdvantixxRCM's billing, A/R, denial management, credentialing, payment posting, and operations teams.
The ideal candidate has experience in healthcare, medical billing, revenue cycle management, practice management, or healthcare client services and can confidently communicate with physicians, practice administrators, clinical staff, and business owners.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary point of contact for assigned AdvantixxRCM clients.Develop strong professional relationships with healthcare practices.Respond to client questions and service requests.Coordinate requests with appropriate internal departments.Track open client issues through resolution.Conduct regular client check-ins and account review meetings.Communicate important billing and operational issues to clients.Maintain accurate documentation of client communications.Monitor client satisfaction.Identify concerns before they become major client problems.Escalate significant issues to the Operations Manager.Maintain professional and timely communication.Help protect and improve client retention.New Client OnboardingThe Account Manager will coordinate onboarding of new AdvantixxRCM clients, including:
Collect required practice information.Coordinate EHR/Practice Management system access.Coordinate clearinghouse access.Collect payer information.Obtain necessary billing documentation.Coordinate BAA and required administrative documentation.Gather provider information.Coordinate payer portal access.Identify client contacts and responsibilities.Establish communication procedures.Coordinate implementation timelines.Ensure internal departments have the information needed to begin services.Track onboarding requirements through completion.Client ReportingPrepare recurring client reports.Coordinate monthly RCM performance reviews.Communicate A/R performance.Review collections and outstanding balances.Communicate denial trends.Discuss significant payer issues.Track unresolved client responsibilities.Present operational updates in an understandable manner.Coordinate action plans with internal teams and clients.The Account Manager should understand key RCM indicators such as:

Medical Billing Specialists — billing and claim issues
A/R Specialists — outstanding insurance balances
Denial Management Specialists — significant denials and appeals
Credentialing Specialists — payer enrollment and credentialing issues
Payment Posting Specialists — payment and reconciliation issues
Operations Manager — escalations, performance issues, and major client concerns
The Account Manager is responsible for coordinating these departments rather than expecting clients to determine which employee they need to contact.
Client Issue ManagementWhen a client raises a concern, the Account Manager should:
Receive → Document → Investigate → Assign → Track → Resolve → Communicate → Close
The Account Manager remains responsible for following the issue until an appropriate resolution is communicated to the client.
Client RetentionMonitor client satisfaction.Identify at-risk accounts.Address recurring service concerns.Coordinate corrective action plans.Identify opportunities to improve client service.Assist with contract renewals when assigned.Identify opportunities for additional AdvantixxRCM services.Communicate expansion opportunities to leadership.Required QualificationsMinimum 2 years of healthcare, medical billing, RCM, account management, practice management, or healthcare client-service experience preferred.Understanding of healthcare revenue cycle operations.Knowledge of medical billing terminology.Familiarity with insurance claims and reimbursement.Strong customer-service and relationship-management skills.Excellent written and verbal communication.Strong organizational and follow-up abilities.Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.Ability to communicate professionally with physicians, providers, administrators, and executives.Strong problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently.Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience with an RCM or medical billing company.Medical practice management experience.Experience managing healthcare client accounts.Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance.Experience reviewing A/R and billing reports.Experience onboarding medical practices.Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.Performance ExpectationsPerformance will be evaluated based on:

When a client has a problem, the Account Manager should not simply forward an email to another department and consider the task completed.
The Account Manager is expected to determine what is needed, coordinate with the appropriate team, track the issue, and ensure the client receives a resolution.
Our goal is for every AdvantixxRCM client to know exactly who to contact when they need help.
