POSITION: Purchasing and Inventory Clerk I
REPORTS TO: Purchasing and Inventory Supervisor
JOB OBJECTIVE: To maintain an adequate, organized inventory of stocked materials and supplies to meet Easton Utilities daily usage and emergency needs. To assist with general maintenance of Easton Utilities facilities. This is a full-time, non-exempt position.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• General maintenance and repair skills
• Forklift experience is preferred
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• A valid driver’s license is required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be capable of physical work that includes lifting, pulling, and carrying supplies up to 50 lbs.

MAJOR JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Maintain a clean, organized, accessible warehouse and storage yard ensuring inventory quantities will meet the needs of Easton Utilities. Inform the Purchasing and Inventory Supervisor as supply levels get low.
• Keep requisition sheets organized by assigning inventory numbers for tracking and accounting purposes.
• Handle all shipping and receiving duties including unloading and loading, signing received or shipping documents, checking in and assigning inventory numbers.
• Ensure Easton Utilities trucks are properly stocked by checking requisition and replenishing daily.
• Assign reel numbers to cable and pipe when received; track cable and pipe usage and subtract usage from card for tracking purposes.
• Perform ground maintenance (including weed spraying) and small projects (including painting) around warehouse and other Eason Utilities’ facilities.
• Regular, reliable attendance is a requirement of this job.
