Role Summary
The Superintendent is a dynamic and organized construction professional responsible for managing field operations from project mobilization through completion. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional communication, problem-solving abilities, and extensive knowledge of exterior façade construction practices. The Superintendent ensures projects are installed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Field Operations:
Manage day-to-day field operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.Coordinate and oversee installation activities, labor, subcontractors, equipment, and site logistics.Review drawings, installation requirements, and project details to identify and resolve field challenges proactively.Client Communication:
Maintain regular communication with project managers, clients, general contractors, subcontractors, and field teams to ensure project requirements are met.Attend jobsite meetings and provide project updates, documentation, and field reports.Scheduling & Resource Management:
Coordinate manpower, equipment, material deliveries, and site activities to maintain project schedules.Monitor jobsite progress, material inventory, and resource utilization to support efficient project execution.Quality & Safety Management:
Ensure all work complies with project specifications, manufacturer requirements, quality standards, and safety regulations.Conduct daily safety meetings, maintain QA/QC documentation, and oversee inspections, testing, and corrective actions.Reporting & Problem Solving:
Complete daily reports, installation logs, and project documentation accurately and timely.Identify project risks, address field issues, assist with change orders, and implement solutions to keep projects moving forward.Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in project management or commercial construction field supervisionExperience with exterior façade systems, including glazing, curtainwall, storefront, metal panels, cladding, roofing, siding, waterproofing, or related building envelope systems.Strong knowledge of commercial construction practices, installation methods, safety regulations, and quality control procedures.Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, shop, and installation drawings.OSHA 30 Certification preferred.Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.Proven ability to lead crews, coordinate subcontractors, manage multiple priorities, and maintain project schedules.Experience coordinating with general contractors, clients, vendors, and project teams.Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to excellence.Employment Details
