Job Description
Boater’s World Manufacturing Group is seeking dependable, hands-on Boat Assemblers to join our manufacturing operation in Chocowinity, North Carolina.
The Boat Assembler is responsible for assembling and installing components, hardware, seating, accessories, and other equipment throughout the boat production process. This position uses a variety of hand and power tools and works closely with other production team members to ensure boats are assembled safely, efficiently, and according to company quality standards.
Previous boat manufacturing experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with transferable experience in manufacturing, automotive, RV, construction, carpentry, mechanical assembly, equipment installation, or other skilled trades are encouraged to apply.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assemble and install boat components, hardware, seating, accessories, and related equipment
- Measure, position, drill, fasten, and install components according to specifications
- Safely operate drills, impact drivers, saws, grinders, sanders, measuring tools, and other hand and power tools
- Read and follow work instructions, measurements, templates, and production specifications
- Assist with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and rigging installations as assigned
- Install hardware, trim, hatches, consoles, seating, and other interior and exterior components
- Inspect completed work for proper fit, alignment, function, and appearance
- Identify quality or assembly concerns and communicate them to the appropriate supervisor
- Coordinate with other production areas to maintain an efficient manufacturing flow
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all company quality, production, and safety procedures
- Meet established production expectations while maintaining quality workmanship
- Perform other production and assembly duties as assigned
- Ability to safely and effectively use common hand and power tools
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to learn manufacturing and assembly processes
- Ability to accurately follow measurements, instructions, and established procedures
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work effectively as part of a production team
- Dependable attendance and ability to work a consistent production schedule
- Ability to follow all safety requirements and wear required personal protective equipment
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, construction, automotive, RV, marine, carpentry, mechanical work, equipment installation, or a related skilled trade
- Previous boat or marine manufacturing experience
- Experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or marine rigging installations
- Experience reading basic drawings, templates, work instructions, or production specifications

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in an active boat manufacturing environment
- Regular exposure to manufacturing noise, dust, odors, varying temperatures, tools, equipment, and production materials
- Ability to stand and work for extended periods
- Ability to bend, kneel, reach, climb, and work in and around boats
- Ability to lift, carry, position, and move materials and components as required by the position
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
- Must wear required PPE and follow all facility safety procedures
