A day in the life...

The Director of Revenue Strategy partners closely with executive leadership, sales, marketing, reservations, and operational teams to develop and execute revenue strategies that maximize occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and overall profitability.

This position is responsible for monitoring market demand, evaluating competitive performance, forecasting business trends, and ensuring optimal pricing and inventory strategies across all distribution channels.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement revenue strategies that drive occupancy, market share, RevPAR, and overall profitability.
  • Analyze market trends, demand patterns, and competitive pricing to identify revenue opportunities.
  • Manage pricing, inventory controls, and distribution strategies across all channels, including direct booking platforms, OTAs, GDS, and third-party providers.
  • Forecast demand and establish effective selling, market mix, and oversell strategies.
  • Lead daily, weekly, and monthly revenue strategy meetings.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing leadership to align revenue objectives and business development efforts.
  • Generate and present revenue reports, forecasts, and performance analysis to executive leadership.
  • Participate in annual budgeting, business planning, and sales and marketing plan development.
  • Maintain historical data, analyze trends, and recommend strategic adjustments to maximize results.
  • Monitor travel industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activity to ensure strong positioning.
  • Support recruitment, training, coaching, and performance management efforts within the revenue function.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of hotel operations and hospitality industry best practices.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hotel revenue management experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in spreadsheets and data analysis.
  • Experience utilizing PMS, CRS, and revenue management systems.
  • Ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable business strategies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and collaboration abilities.
  • Strategic business acumen and a revenue-first mindset.
  • Ability to influence decision-making across multiple departments.
  • Strong leadership presence and relationship-building skills.
  • Commitment to accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
  • Passion for delivering measurable business results
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift and transport up to 25 pounds as needed.
