As a Registered Nurse (RN), a typical day may include:
- The Stroke Manager RN is a registered nurse with knowledge, skill and competence in the field of neurological nursing and administration,
- The Stroke Manager RN utilizes a multi-disciplinary approach to facilitate optimal patient care and continued growth of the program,
- Responsible for staff scheduling and annual evaluations (Neurophysiology, EEG),
- Interviews and recommends selection of new employees, provides performance appraisals and coaching,
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide the daily operational and administrative oversight of the program
- Serves effectively on designated hospital wide committees
- Works with the Director to oversee all department staff, including Neurophysiology (EEG) to ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures
- Assists in the preparation of the department budget and adheres to it, utilizes finances, budgets, facilities, equipment, materials and products to minimize costs, actively practices cost containment
- Designs and implements an effective departmental process improvement program and makes appropriate changes for Director's review
To be considered for this opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and a current American Heart Association BLS certification.Two to five years relevant clinical experience with neuroscience population/emergency patient management. Bachelors degree required, Masters degree preferred in nursing and relevant clinical experience in neurological nursing and leadership experience,
This position offers a a 40 hour per week schedule, Monday-Friday, day shift.
