Technology Support Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technology Support Specialist based in the United States.

This role provides essential technical support that keeps a remote organization productive, secure, and connected.
You will serve as a first point of contact for hardware, software, network, account, and access-related issues.
The position combines hands-on troubleshooting with system administration, user onboarding, documentation, and process improvement.
You will work closely with Technology Operations to maintain reliable Microsoft 365, cloud, infrastructure, and workplace technology services.
Your work will directly improve the employee experience while helping maintain strong security and technology standards.

Accountabilities
  • Provide first-level technical support for service, hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues, resolving problems efficiently and professionally.
  • Monitor and respond to technology support requests through the organization’s ticketing system, prioritizing issues according to urgency and business impact.
  • Configure, install, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, and other technology equipment.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, access rights, and technology resources across organizational systems.
  • Support Microsoft 365, cloud-based services, networks, applications, and other technology infrastructure.
  • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of technology policies, procedures, standards, and operational processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve technology support workflows, service processes, and overall operational efficiency.
  • Document technical issues, troubleshooting steps, and solutions clearly to strengthen the internal knowledge base and enable consistent support.
  • Support employee onboarding by preparing technology resources, configuring accounts and equipment, and providing guidance on systems and tools.
  • Help ensure technology systems and equipment remain secure and aligned with organizational standards and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Support upgrades, deployments, system changes, and the introduction of new applications and services.
  • Collaborate with Technology Operations and other internal teams to resolve recurring issues and improve the reliability of technology services.
  • Deliver responsive, high-quality customer service to employees with varying levels of technical expertise.
  • Stay current with new technologies, systems, and processes and adapt quickly as organizational needs evolve.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience in technology services, IT support, help desk support, or a comparable technical role, or an Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field combined with equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications and cloud services, including tools such as Teams, Exchange, and OneDrive.
  • Strong troubleshooting capabilities across Windows operating systems, hardware, software, networks, and remote technology environments.
  • Experience with IT support tools such as ticketing systems and remote desktop software.
  • Experience administering or supporting Microsoft 365 environments; familiarity with Entra, Intune, Defender, Purview, Exchange, Teams, and SharePoint is preferred.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, system integrations, and business applications such as ERP and CRM systems is an advantage.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues methodically and develop practical solutions.
  • Ability to document technical solutions clearly, concisely, and consistently.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, with the ability to support a diverse group of users.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple requests, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to learn new systems and business concepts quickly and remain adaptable in an evolving environment.
  • Collaborative mindset and demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team-oriented organization.
  • Genuine interest in working within a mission-driven environment where organizational values, sustainability, diversity, equity, and inclusion are important.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for the employer, with or without sponsorship.
  • Ability to work remotely from a U.S.-based location and travel approximately 3–4 times per year for conferences, customer meetings, or team events.
