PRIMARY PURPOSE:

  • Acts as a liaison between Quality and Production. Supervise and maintain quality inspection activities, including component inspections, raw material inspections, and other applicable inspections, and supervise the inspectors.
  • Performs quality inspector activities when necessary.
  • Reviews all quality inspection activities for in-process, incoming materials, components, and determines disposition. Ensuring inspection activities meet FDA and ISO requirements, as well as implementing continuous improvements as necessary.
  • Quality monitoring of quality inspection activities.
  • Performs daily verification of instrumentation (scales, gauges, etc.)
  • Performs incoming inspection of packaging components.
  • Accurately reviews and records data.
  • Promote continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in other activities as assigned by the Quality Manager.

  • QUALIFICATION:

    REQUIRED:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience
  • Capable of preparing cGMP and other laboratory documents.
  • Excellent knowledge of computer systems and software.
  • Good knowledge of cGMP and FDA regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational communication skills.
  • CRITICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Working knowledge of FDA regulations for drugs and/or medical devices.
  • Ability to use a personal computer and peripheral equipment to accurately enter and analyze data and produce reports.
  • Ability to make quality decisions and act accordingly.
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, productively, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
  • Ability to perform effectively under conditions of fluctuating workload.
  • Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems.
  • Communicate with others clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment – sometimes rapidly shifting priorities. Ability to concentrate in such an environment and perform quality work.
  • Strong initiative, technical commitment, and contribution to company and departmental goals
  • Education and/or Training

  • Working knowledge of FDA regulations for drugs and/or medical devices.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
