Parts Manager in Candler, North Carolina at Road King Trailers Inc

The Parts Manager is responsible for processing wholesale and retail orders, warranty claims for trailer components and conducting routine checks of production units for specification conformance.

Parts sales is an integral part of Road King’s customer service platform and a key profit center for the company. Many marine trailers operate in difficult conditions which leave dealers and retail customers regularly needing parts to service units in the field. Road King Trailers offers a full line of replacement parts to support their needs.

The Parts Manager duties include;

Parts Orders
Receiving inbound calls for parts orders.
Helping customers determine which parts are needed for repairs.
Providing quotes for parts order, including shipping (if needed).
Pick, pack and shipping parts orders to customers.
Coordinate returns for parts orders.
Receiving, restocking and crediting returned orders.
Maintain detailed records of parts orders.
Proactively call dealers ahead of trailer shipments for any parts needs.

Coordinate shipments of dealer parts order on finished trailer shipments.
Communicate with dealers on parts order details.

Warranty Claims
Receive inbound warranty claims from dealer and retail customers.
Communicate warranty policy and procedure.
Asses, document, communicate and facilitate warranty claim resolution.
Communicate and process warranty claims with Road King Trailers vendors.
Track and verify vendor obligations under warranty claims.
Maintain detailed records of warranty claims.

Quality Control
Perform periodic “check trailers” procedure to verify that production units are being
built to order specification.
Perform regular checks of truck loads for accuracy and completeness.
Develop a through working knowledge of Road King Trailers product line and production
procedures.

General
Serve as a key member of the leadership team.
Help other areas of the company as needed.
Maintain a cheerful, positive, productive, respectful and collaborative attitude.
Contribute ideas to improving Road King Trailers.

Requirements
Excellent written and verbal communications.
Excellent organizational skills.
Computer proficiency.
Parts counter experience preferred.
Availability 8a-5pm Monday – Friday.
Some heavy lifting required.
