Job Description

Salesforce Quality Assurance Tester

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Salesforce Quality Assurance Tester based in the United States.

Join a mission-driven team supporting the modernization of Salesforce capabilities within a federal financial regulatory environment. In this remote role, you will help ensure the quality, reliability, and compliance of critical business systems. You will collaborate with government stakeholders, Product Owners, and program leads to validate enhancements, support Salesforce Classic-to-Lightning migration initiatives, and strengthen delivery processes. Through comprehensive testing and defect management, you will help ensure that system updates meet defined requirements and perform as expected. This opportunity is suited to an experienced QA professional who combines strong Salesforce expertise with analytical thinking and clear communication. Your work will contribute to dependable technology solutions in a highly regulated government setting.

Accountabilities:

As a Salesforce Quality Assurance Tester, you will oversee testing activities throughout the software delivery lifecycle, helping ensure that Salesforce configurations, customizations, integrations, and releases meet established quality and compliance standards.

  • Design, develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts across Salesforce enhancements and releases.

  • Perform functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing (UAT) throughout Agile sprints and release cycles.

  • Create and execute test scenarios based on user stories and acceptance criteria, including exception paths and complex workflows.

  • Identify, document, track, and manage defects through resolution using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps, including clear reproduction steps, severity levels, and expected versus actual results.

  • Validate Salesforce declarative configurations and automation, including record-triggered, screen, and scheduled Flows, approval processes, validation rules, page layouts, and Lightning App Builder.

  • Test integrations between Salesforce and external systems, including MuleSoft, REST/SOAP APIs, and middleware, ensuring data consistency and integrity.

  • Validate custom Salesforce development, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, and triggers, using SOQL for backend verification when needed.

  • Verify data migrations, reports, dashboards, and operational reporting accuracy.

  • Collaborate with government leads and Product Owners to clarify requirements, define acceptance criteria, establish testing scope, and coordinate release timelines.

  • Support Salesforce Public Sector Solutions activities, including release readiness, deployment validation across sandbox and production environments, and post-cutover stabilization.

  • Ensure QA coverage and testing practices remain scalable, maintainable, auditable, and aligned with governance and regulatory expectations.

  • Prepare executive-ready test summaries, defect reports, quality status updates, and formal or informal briefings for government managers.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings substantial experience in software quality assurance, hands-on Salesforce testing expertise, and the ability to communicate technical findings effectively in an Agile, regulated environment.

  • U.S. citizenship is required due to government contract restrictions.

  • A bachelor's degree is preferred in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Systems Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Engineering, or a related field, along with at least eight years of experience.

  • Demonstrated experience performing QA and software testing in an Agile delivery environment, including test planning, test case development, and defect management.

  • Proven ability to derive and execute test cases from user stories and acceptance criteria, including exception scenarios.

  • Hands-on experience testing Salesforce applications, particularly declarative configurations and Salesforce Flow automation.

  • Experience validating custom Salesforce development, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, and triggers, as well as backend data using SOQL.

  • Experience testing integrations between Salesforce and external systems, including MuleSoft, REST/SOAP APIs, and middleware.

  • Familiarity with defect-tracking and test-management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, and TestRail.

  • Experience supporting Salesforce Classic-to-Lightning migration initiatives is preferred.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present findings and brief senior government stakeholders.

  • Ability to pass required pre-employment screening, including applicable background investigation and drug testing.

  • Ability to work for prolonged periods at a desk using a computer, with occasional standing or moving around as needed.

  • Public Trust eligibility is required.

Benefits:

  • Starting salary range: $120,000–$130,000 per year, subject to qualifications, experience, location, contract award, and funding.

  • Remote work opportunity within the United States.

  • 401(k) plan with a company match of up to 6%.

  • Paid time off and paid holidays.

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, including prescription drug coverage.

  • Basic life and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, with supplemental life insurance options.

  • Short-term and long-term disability coverage.

  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA) options.

  • Professional development, training, and certification support.

  • Voluntary benefits, including accident, critical illness, and identity theft protection.

  • Veterans and active-duty military personnel transitioning to civilian employment are encouraged to apply.

  • Benefits are subject to eligibility requirements and may change.
