Position SummaryThe Director of Data Analytics will lead Bloom Healthcare’s data analytics function, with responsibility for managing the BI Analyst team and ensuring the organization has reliable, timely, actionable data to support clinical, operational, financial, and strategic decision-making.
This role will oversee analytics delivery, dashboard development, reporting standards, data governance practices, data infrastructure, and data interoperability. The Director will work closely with Technology, Operations, Clinical, and Executive Leadership to translate business needs into scalable analytics solutions.
The ideal candidate is both technically strong and operationally grounded, with the ability to lead a team, improve analytics processes, create structure, and ensure data work is aligned with Bloom’s business priorities.Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the BI Analyst team, including prioritization, workload management, coaching, performance feedback, and professional development.
  • Own the analytics request intake, prioritization, and delivery process to ensure reporting work is organized, transparent, and aligned with business value.
  • Partner with Executive Leadership, Operations, Clinical, Finance, and other stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into clear analytics deliverables.
  • Oversee the design, development, maintenance, and improvement of dashboards, reports, and analytics tools.
  • Ensure BI deliverables are accurate, clearly documented, user-friendly, and actionable for business and clinical teams.
  • Establish reporting standards, dashboard design principles, documentation expectations, and quality assurance practices for the analytics team.
  • Improve consistency and trust in organizational reporting by helping define standard metrics, data definitions, and reporting logic.
  • Partner with data engineering, technology, and product teams to ensure data models, pipelines, and reporting layers support business needs.
  • Support the ongoing development of Bloom’s analytics infrastructure, including Power BI, Snowflake, dbt, orchestration tools, and related reporting systems.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual reporting work through automation, standardization, and better data architecture.
  • Lead analytics roadmap planning, including prioritizing high-impact initiatives and balancing urgent requests with long-term data strategy.
  • Support value-based care analytics, including claims data, utilization trends, patient risk, provider performance, operational performance, and payer reporting.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to turn analytics into practical workflow improvements and measurable outcomes.
  • Partner with Compliance and Technology leadership to ensure analytics practices follow HIPAA, data privacy, access control, and security expectations.
  • Provide leadership-level reporting and insights that help guide organizational decisions.
  • Serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring analytics work is both technically sound and operationally useful.
  • Mentor BI Analysts in data storytelling, stakeholder communication, requirements gathering, technical development, and business judgment.
  • Monitor data quality issues and partner with the appropriate teams to resolve root causes.
  • Help mature Bloom’s analytics function from request-based reporting toward proactive insights, stronger governance, and strategic decision support.
Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, Business, Statistics, Finance, or a related field required.
  • 7+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, healthcare analytics, data systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience leading analysts, BI developers, data teams, or cross-functional analytics initiatives preferred.
  • Strong experience with BI and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Airtable dashboards, or similar platforms.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases, data warehouses, and structured reporting layers.
  • Experience with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, cloud data tools, or orchestration tools preferred.
  • Healthcare analytics experience strongly preferred, especially in value-based care, population health, claims data, clinical operations, payer reporting, or provider performance.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, metric definitions, reporting standards, and dashboard lifecycle management.
  • Ability to translate complex data and technical concepts into clear, practical business recommendations.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to gather requirements, manage competing priorities, and set realistic expectations.
  • Experience building analytics roadmaps and aligning reporting work to organizational strategy.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • High attention to detail, strong analytical judgment, and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, create structure, and improve team processes.
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Leadership ExpectationsThe Director of Data Analytics is expected to bring structure, accountability, and strategic direction to Bloom’s analytics function. This role should help the BI Analyst team move beyond reactive report-building and toward higher-value insights, stronger business partnership, and better organizational decision support.
This leader should create clarity around priorities, improve delivery discipline, and build trust in Bloom’s reporting environment. They should also help analysts grow from dashboard creators into stronger business partners who understand the “why” behind the data.Success Measures

  • More proactive insights that help Bloom identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance improvement areas.
Reporting StructureThis role reports to the VP of Technology and manages the BI Analyst team. The Director of Data Analytics will work closely with Data Engineering, Product, Operations, Clinical, Finance, Compliance, and Executive Leadership.

The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience. The pay range for this role in the state of Colorado typically falls between $140,000 to $170,000 annually with the potential for performance-based bonuses and other benefits. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, and location within the state.
