Description: Diesel Technician / Truck MechanicMon-Fri Schedule (4 – 10 Hour Shifts Available)$30+ per hour (depending on experience)$1,000 Hiring Bonus!!

We are looking for a Diesel Technician / Truck Mechanic with engine repair experience and engine certification is a plus.

What are the Duties?

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Repair diesel engines (varied makes, includes Detroit Diesel, Cummins, Caterpillar, etc.)
  • Service and repair work, drive train, floor work, steering, electrical, suspension and brakes.
  • Troubleshooting and inspections
  • Inspect engine or transmission for conformance to standard. Diagnose cause of nonconformance. Identify corrective action necessary to correct nonconformance.
  • Must be available for possible after hours on call (rotation basis)
  • Diagnose and repair basic equipment wiring.
  • Computer literacy and good verbal communication skills
  • Performs other routine duties.
  • Works Independently
  • Trailer repair experience a HUGE plus!
Requirements:

PHYSICAL and SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs with assistance.
  • The associate must be able to read and write reports.
  • Implement and enforce Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) a plus
  • Engine Certifications a plus
