Job Description

Associate Director-Experience Designer

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Associate Director-Experience Designer in the United States.

This role sits at the intersection of experience design, front-end development, and AI-enabled product innovation, focused on transforming complex, data-heavy insurance analytics into intuitive, interactive digital experiences. You will lead the design of advanced enterprise-grade products where traditional UX meets coded prototyping, enabling faster validation and closer collaboration with engineering. The position emphasizes a prototype-first approach, where functional, interactive experiences are built early to drive decision-making and reduce delivery risk. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and data teams to design GenAI-powered features that make risk and insurance insights more accessible and actionable. This is a highly strategic and hands-on role for a designer comfortable operating across design and development boundaries. You will also contribute to evolving scalable design systems in a modern, AI-augmented product environment.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will lead end-to-end experience design for complex insurance analytics products, transforming dense data and workflows into intuitive, interactive, and production-ready prototypes that guide product development and enhance user decision-making.

  • Design and deliver functional, coded prototypes that simulate real product experiences using interactive data and advanced UI behaviors
  • Lead the full experience design lifecycle from early concepting through prototyping, testing, iteration, and final delivery
  • Translate complex insurance, risk, and analytics data into clear dashboards, workflows, and visual storytelling experiences
  • Design and prototype GenAI-enabled features such as natural language interfaces, intelligent summaries, and embedded assistants
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and iterative validation to refine designs based on real user feedback and business needs
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and product managers to ensure feasibility, performance, and alignment with technical constraints
  • Contribute to the evolution of enterprise design systems, ensuring consistency between coded components and accessibility standards
  • Champion AI-assisted design-to-code workflows and a prototype-first methodology to accelerate innovation and reduce delivery risk
  • Support engineering teams by providing design specifications, coded assets, and iterative feedback loops
  • Advocate for user-centered, scalable, and AI-forward design practices across product teams
Requirements:

This role requires strong expertise in UX/UI design combined with technical fluency in front-end development and AI-assisted design workflows. Candidates should be comfortable building interactive prototypes and working closely with engineering in complex, data-driven environments.

  • 3–5 years of experience in UX/UI design, ideally in enterprise, B2B, or data-intensive products
  • 1–3 years of front-end development experience preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Figma and experience translating designs into functional prototypes
  • Experience building coded, interactive prototypes using tools such as Cursor or similar AI-assisted platforms
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled workflows (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Figma Dev Mode MCP, or equivalent tools)
  • Strong ability to simplify and visualize complex datasets and workflows into intuitive user experiences
  • Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and iterative, data-driven design improvements
  • Solid understanding of front-end technologies and component-based design systems
  • Experience designing GenAI-powered features such as conversational interfaces and predictive UX patterns
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across design, engineering, and product teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated awareness of responsible AI usage and ethical design considerations
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation aligned with experience and market benchmarks
  • Opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI-driven and GenAI-enabled product experiences
  • Remote-friendly and flexible working arrangements
  • Exposure to enterprise-scale, data-rich insurance analytics platforms
  • Strong focus on innovation, experimentation, and prototype-first product development
  • Collaborative, cross-functional environment with design, engineering, and product teams
  • Access to modern AI tools and advanced design-to-code workflows
  • Career growth opportunities in a highly strategic and evolving design discipline
