Job Description

Director of Growth

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Director of Growth in the United States.

This is a high-impact, cross-functional leadership role focused on driving commercial performance across a multi-brand retail portfolio. You will operate at the intersection of brand, merchandising, ecommerce, customer experience, and performance marketing to identify growth constraints and unlock new revenue opportunities. Working closely with senior leaders and executive stakeholders, you will translate complex business challenges into clear growth strategies, experiments, and priorities. The environment is fast-paced, data-informed, and highly collaborative, with significant autonomy and ownership. This role is ideal for a builder who thrives in ambiguity, challenges assumptions, and raises the ambition level of teams. Your work will directly influence conversion, customer acquisition, and revenue expansion across multiple iconic consumer brands.

Accountabilities:
  • Own and prioritize growth hypotheses across brand, merchandising, site experience, paid media, and customer acquisition channels.
  • Identify structural constraints to revenue growth and challenge existing assumptions about performance ceilings and customer behavior.
  • Translate ambiguous business questions into clear, testable growth initiatives and strategic priorities.
  • Design and scale a high-velocity experimentation framework across marketing, product, and ecommerce functions.
  • Partner with merchandising, creative, buying, and performance marketing teams to turn insights into commercial execution.
  • Influence cross-functional leaders to align on growth priorities and drive coordinated action across the organization.
  • Build repeatable growth playbooks that can be applied across multiple brands within a portfolio structure.
  • Use data, commercial judgment, and first-principles thinking to evaluate opportunities and allocate resources effectively.
  • Continuously identify gaps in assortment, brand expression, digital experience, and channel strategy that limit performance.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in growth, ecommerce, brand strategy, merchandising, performance marketing, or cross-functional commercial leadership roles.
  • Proven ability to drive measurable growth by challenging assumptions and improving commercial decision-making frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of ecommerce ecosystems, customer behavior, and end-to-end digital revenue drivers.
  • Demonstrated experience running experimentation programs and using data to validate hypotheses and optimize outcomes.
  • Ability to operate across multiple disciplines including brand, product, merchandising, and digital marketing.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Highly analytical mindset with the ability to balance structured data analysis and fast commercial decision-making.
  • Experience in multi-brand, portfolio, or holding company environments is highly valued.
  • Exposure to performance marketing economics, incrementality, and lifecycle optimization is a plus.
  • A proactive, builder mindset with a track record of elevating team ambition and execution standards.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range ($151,000 – $178,000 USD annually)
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, vision)
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match (US)
  • RRSP and group benefits (Canada)
  • Paid time off and flexible work arrangements
  • Employee discounts across a portfolio of consumer brands
  • Executive-level exposure and high-impact decision-making opportunities
  • Career growth across a multi-brand retail portfolio
  • Collaborative, fast-moving, and innovation-driven environment.
