Job Summary:
The Materials & Operations Coordinator is responsible for shipping, receiving, inventory control, material handling, purchasing support, and production coordination throughout the manufacturing process. This role helps maintain operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and on-time customer deliveries.
This is a progressive role that begins with foundational operational responsibilities and expands into purchasing, inventory planning, and production coordination as knowledge, consistency, and reliability are demonstrated.
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Expected On-Site Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Requirements:Duties/Responsibilities:
· Prepare and ship customer orders according to schedules and company procedures
· Verify quantities, lot numbers, labels, and shipping documentation for accuracy
· Receive incoming materials and process inventory transactions accurately
· Issue materials to production while maintaining inventory accuracy
· Maintain organized inventory, shipping, and storage areas
· Monitor inventory levels and assist with replenishment activities
Progression Responsibilities:
· Assist with purchasing and Kanban/par-level inventory systems
· Coordinate material availability with production and Quality Control teams
· Assist with inventory counts, audits, and inventory control processes
· Maintain accurate records and documentation
· Identify and communicate inventory discrepancies or operational concerns
· Follow all safety and quality procedures
· Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills, Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or GED required
· Manufacturing, shipping, inventory, logistics, or purchasing experience highly preferred
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
· Basic computer and data entry skills
· Ability to multitask and work independently
· Strong communication, both oral and written, and problem-solving skills
· Ability to work effectively in a team environment
· Willingness to grow into additional operational responsibilities
· Must meet US Person requirement
· Must have reliable transportation
Physical Requirements:
· Manufacturing and office environment
· Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
· Frequent standing, walking, bending, and material handling
· Ability to safely work around production equipment
· Use of PPE as required
