Position Overview

The Food Runner at Aleteo Rooftop Restaurant supports seamless service by delivering food quickly and accurately while maintaining high presentation standards in a high-energy rooftop environment. This role works closely with culinary and service teams to support pacing, flow, and overall guest satisfaction throughout service.

What You'll Do

Food Delivery & Presentation

• Deliver food from the kitchen to guests promptly and accurately.
• Ensure all dishes meet presentation and quality standards before leaving the kitchen.
• Communicate with the culinary team regarding order readiness, modifications, and special requests.
• Support proper timing and pacing of courses during service.

Service Support

• Assist servers and server assistants during busy service periods.
• Respond quickly to table needs and guest requests.
• Clear and reset tables to maintain smooth service flow.
• Stay aware of dining room activity to support guest pacing and service needs.

Operations & Organization

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of expo lines and service areas.
• Assist with restocking service stations, utensils, and supplies.
• Support opening and closing side work duties.
• Communicate clearly and consistently with service and culinary teams.

Teamwork & Professionalism

• Work collaboratively with kitchen, service, and support teams.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Demonstrate urgency, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Accept feedback and coaching to support growth and development.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and food handling standards.
• Adhere to company policies and brand standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform other duties as assigned by restaurant leadership.
• Maintain reliable and consistent attendance as an essential function of the role.

What You'll Bring

Required Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred Education & Experience

• Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred, but not required.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
• Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized during busy service periods.

Licenses or Certifications

• Food Handler Certification required or ability to obtain.
