Stonegate Golf Club is seeking friendly, attentive, and service-minded Servers / Bartenders to join our Food & Beverage team. In this role, you’ll play an important part in creating a welcoming dining experience by providing attentive service, ensuring order accuracy, preparing and serving beverages, and maintaining the high standards our members and guests expect.

Located in beautiful Kissimmee, Florida, Stonegate Golf Club features a 36-hole championship golf course surrounded by 100-year-old oak hammocks, lush greenery, and tranquil waterways. The Club also offers three distinct food and beverage venues: The Grill, a lively sports bar; Mosaics, a classic country club setting; and the Marketplace Bistro.

Job purpose

As a Server/Bartender, you will provide excellent service to our members and guests, creating a friendly and professional atmosphere while serving food and beverages.

Duties and responsibilities Server

• Greet members and guests with a friendly, welcoming attitude.
• Take food and drink orders and ensure accurate delivery.
• Provide menu recommendations and answer any questions about the menu, specials, and wine pairings.
• Ensure prompt and efficient service in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Process payments, handle cash and credit card transactions accurately
• Performs other duties as requested.

Duties and responsibilities Bartender

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to members and guests.
• Take drink orders, mix and garnish drinks according to recipes and member / guest preferences.
• Ensure the bar area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies
• Monitor member /guest behavior and adhere to all laws and club policies regarding responsible alcohol service.
• Create a friendly and engaging atmosphere for guests.
• Provide excellent customer service, making sure every guest feels valued and taken care of.
• Maintain knowledge of the club's policies, menus, and events to provide accurate information to guests.
• Ensure the bar and dining areas are stocked, clean, and presentable.
• Comply with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Performs other duties as requested.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous server and bartender experience required
• Strong customer service skills with a positive, outgoing attitude.
• Knowledge of food and beverage, including wine, beer, and cocktails.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Weekend and holiday availability required.

Working conditions

Work is primarily indoors with some outdoor exposure. Potential exposure to sharp and rapid equipment movement, sharp utensils, harmful chemicals and/or being exposed to flying golf balls.

Physical requirements

Good organizational and verbal skills. Ability to use logical and rational thinking to resolve issues. Ability to perform basic mathematical skills, monitor and develop subordinates, visually monitor the operation areas and write and read member communication.

Must have the ability to perform moderate physical work and may be required to lift up to 30 lbs., up to 20 lbs. frequently and up to 10 lbs. constantly. Perform activities such as bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, pushing, lifting and grasping for up to 5 hours without sitting. Ability to consistently lift, carry and load equipment that may weigh 30 or more pounds, and sustain aerobic activity for 20 consecutive minutes.

Please be advised that all work that requires the use of a ladder more than 8 ft. long must be reviewed by Hampton Golf's Club Maintenance person. Following an assessment of the situation, a determination will be made as to whether a maintenance team member or subcontractors will perform the necessary maintenance task. No other staff member is authorized to climb to heights exceeding 8 ft. and/or perform such maintenance. In addition, personnel are prohibited from entering facility attics, walking on the roof of buildings and/or from using scaffolding.
