This role is focused on ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of mission-critical SAP environments supporting global enterprise operations.
You will be responsible for managing and resolving high-priority production incidents while maintaining seamless system availability across complex SAP landscapes.
The position involves deep technical engagement with SAP BASIS administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization activities.
You will work in a fast-paced production support environment, collaborating with infrastructure, database, and application teams to resolve critical issues.
Beyond incident management, you will contribute to continuous improvement through root cause analysis and preventive solutions.
The role requires strong operational discipline and the ability to respond effectively to P1/P2 incidents under strict SLA timelines.
This is a high-impact technical position within a global, enterprise-scale SAP ecosystem.
- Manage and resolve P1 and P2 production incidents, ensuring timely resolution within SLA/KPI targets and minimal business disruption.
- Perform detailed incident analysis, troubleshooting, and impact assessment for critical SAP BASIS issues in production environments.
- Lead and coordinate major incident calls, working closely with cross-functional teams during outages or system performance degradation.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and implement preventive measures to improve system stability.
- Administer SAP landscapes, including system monitoring, health checks, instance management, and routine BASIS operations.
- Manage transport requests, system changes, and support activities such as spool, job, user, and client administration.
- Monitor system performance, logs, dumps, and queues while coordinating with infrastructure and database teams for optimization and stability.
- Support patching activities, kernel upgrades, and system parameter changes as required.
- 6–8 years of experience in SAP BASIS administration and production support environments.
- Strong hands-on experience handling P1/P2 incidents in enterprise SAP systems.
- Solid expertise in SAP system monitoring, administration, transport management, and job scheduling.
- Strong knowledge of SAP NetWeaver, system architecture, performance tuning, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience with incident management processes, RCA, and ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, or Remedy.
- Familiarity with system logs, dumps, trace analysis, and performance diagnostics.
- Exposure to SAP HANA and S/4HANA environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of database coordination (HANA, Oracle, SQL Server, or DB2) is an advantage.
- Understanding of ITIL processes and experience working in structured support environments.
