Description:

BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Member of the Enterprise Data and Automation team. Works with team members to write code and build queries that ingest, clean, and manipulate organizational data so it’s accurate and readily available for analysis and reporting. Highly responsive to customers and shows an aptitude for the development and documentation of customer requirements.

  • Director, Enterprise Data and Automation

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Supervisory Responsibilities: NO

Number of Direct Reports: None

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.

License/Certification Required: NO

Minimum Work Experience:

• Two years of experience supporting system database applications. This includes a thorough understanding of relational databases and techniques for extracting data for user consumption.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Strong understanding of T-SQL

• Experience using ETL tools to extract, transform and load data between applications.

• Basic understanding of Object-Oriented Programming languages.

• Experience developing data applications using rapid application development tools.

• Experience working with internal users and third parties to identify data requirements and leading the project to successful completion.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills. Service oriented.

• Able to work with minimal supervision.

• Must have above average problem-solving skills.

• Excellent organizational, time management and customer service skills.

• Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint and other computer applications.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborates with customers to identify data requirements.

• Create new tables, views and stored procedures to support custom database applications.

• Analyze data requests and document requirements.

• Identify and validate the appropriate technological solutions for various data needs.

• Perform validation and testing for new custom data sets and database applications.

• Troubleshoot, optimize, modify and maintain existing data sets as needed.

• Communicate effectively with end-users to provide training, determine reporting requirements, and provide status updates.

• Facilitate collaborative decision-making.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Occasional moving of objects of less than 10 lbs is required. Frequent sitting with some walking, standing, squatting, bending and reaching is required. Keyboard/computer use and/or repetitive motions may be required.
