Distribution Center Supervisor in Fort Wayne, Indiana at Parkview Health

This position is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, controlling and supervising the daily activities of an assigned shift and functional area(s) within the distribution center. This may include receiving, put away, picking, consolidation and shipping of retail orders. Responsible for maintaining a high level of productivity and quality within the department. Responsible for the training, coaching and development of specified staff.

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred

Must have a valid Driver's license.

Three to five years of prior supervisory experience in medical supply distribution or warehousing preferred.

Good communication, management and leadership skills with ability to effectively deal with all levels of employees. Knowledge of various inventory control methods and distribution or warehouse management solutions (WMS) preferred. Demonstrates ability to analyze information effectively and consistently; and to complete assignments within established timelines and under general supervision. Must be willing/able to work flexible schedules in order to meet the needs of the operation. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
