This role is a hands-on subsurface technical position focused on integrating geological, geophysical, petrophysical, and dynamic reservoir data to support production optimization and field development strategies. You will contribute directly to improving recovery and performance from mature oil and gas assets by delivering high-quality geological interpretations and integrated subsurface models. Working within a multidisciplinary and global environment, you will collaborate closely with reservoir engineers, geophysicists, production teams, and wells specialists. The position requires strong analytical capability and the ability to translate complex subsurface uncertainty into actionable business decisions. You will also support digital transformation efforts by adopting advanced workflows and data-driven interpretation tools. This is an impactful role suited for professionals who enjoy solving complex geological challenges in production and development settings. You will play a key role in shaping reservoir management strategies and supporting long-term energy optimization objectives.
- Interpret and integrate geological, seismic, well-log, core, and production data to build robust subsurface models and frameworks.
- Develop structural, stratigraphic, depositional, and fluid property interpretations to support reservoir characterization.
- Deliver integrated subsurface descriptions to enable production management, depletion planning, and field development decisions.
- Characterize and communicate subsurface uncertainty and risk, supporting scenario planning and decision-making.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including reservoir engineers, petrophysicists, geophysicists, and wells specialists.
- Support reservoir management initiatives aimed at improving recovery from existing oil and gas assets.
- Contribute to adoption of digital tools, workflows, and innovative technologies for improved subsurface analysis.
- Prepare and communicate technical findings clearly to both technical peers and business stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Geoscience from a recognized university.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in oil and gas geology, including development, production, appraisal, or exploration.
- Strong experience in seismic interpretation and subsurface evaluation using tools such as Petrel or equivalent.
- Ability to integrate static and dynamic datasets including seismic, well logs, pressure, and production data.
- Proven capability in reservoir characterization, uncertainty analysis, and integrated subsurface modeling.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with ability to present complex insights clearly.
- Collaborative mindset with experience working in multidisciplinary and global teams.
- Exposure to production geology, reservoir modeling, or field development planning is highly desirable.
- Experience with probabilistic resource assessment, carbonates, or digital subsurface workflows is a plus.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and structured approach to technical delivery.
