Job Description

Strategic Business Development Director (Platform Sales)

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Strategic Business Development Director (Platform Sales) in the United States.

This is a high-visibility opportunity for a senior business development leader to drive strategic growth partnerships across the global MarTech, AdTech, and data platform ecosystem. The role focuses on building and closing complex enterprise platform partnerships that shape long-term market expansion and product adoption. You will work directly with executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams to develop high-impact go-to-market strategies, negotiate multi-million-dollar agreements, and position innovative data solutions as critical infrastructure for enterprise platforms. This position combines strategic thinking with hands-on deal execution, offering the chance to influence revenue growth, market positioning, and partner relationships on a global scale. The environment is collaborative, fast-paced, and innovation-driven, with a strong focus on customer value, transparency, and operational excellence. This role is ideal for a commercially driven professional who thrives in complex enterprise sales environments and enjoys building strategic partnerships that deliver long-term business impact.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead global strategic platform sales initiatives across key MarTech, AdTech, media, cloud, and data platform segments.
  • Manage complex enterprise deal cycles from initial engagement through negotiation, contracting, and successful closure, including multi-quarter sales processes.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies in partnership with leadership, product, marketing, and commercial teams to support long-term growth objectives.
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with executives and decision-makers across major technology and platform organizations.
  • Position platform solutions as strategic partnerships by translating technical capabilities into clear business value and long-term competitive advantages.
  • Drive value-based sales motions focused on strategic outcomes, revenue impact, and scalable partnership opportunities rather than transactional sales activity.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to design tailored solutions, proposals, and commercial strategies aligned with customer goals and market demands.
  • Monitor pipeline performance, market trends, deal progression, and strategic opportunities while providing data-driven business insights to leadership.
  • Leverage AI-powered tools and technologies to improve sales efficiency, workflow optimization, and strategic decision-making processes.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise SaaS sales, strategic partnerships, or business development roles with a strong record of revenue achievement.
  • Demonstrated success managing and closing high-value, multi-million-dollar enterprise deals within complex global organizations.
  • Deep expertise within the MarTech, AdTech, media, cloud, or data technology ecosystem, supported by an established professional network.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to build trust and credibility with C-level stakeholders and senior decision-makers.
  • Proven ability to balance long-term strategic planning with hands-on deal execution and operational follow-through.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with product, marketing, commercial, and leadership teams to align business objectives and customer solutions.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and modern sales technologies used to improve business development workflows and performance.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market dynamics, pipeline data, and strategic opportunities effectively.
  • Comfortable operating in international business environments with diverse markets, cultures, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Willingness and ability to travel globally as business needs require.
Benefits:
  • On-target earnings ranging from $300,000 to $350,000 annually for U.S.-based remote employees.
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage including fully paid medical, dental, and vision benefits for employees and eligible dependents.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions.
  • Equity or stock option opportunities.
  • Generous paid time off policy.
  • Remote-first work flexibility.
  • Home office and Wi-Fi stipend.
  • Technology package to support productivity and remote collaboration.
  • Opportunity to work within a fast-growing, globally recognized technology environment focused on innovation and data intelligence.
  • Inclusive and collaborative workplace culture emphasizing transparency, diversity, and professional growth.
