Job Title: Commercial-Sales Representative

Reports To: Trey Varn/Aaron Brooks

Location: Piedmont, SC

Employment Status: Full Time

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt


This position has typical work hours Monday – Friday from 7:30AM – 5:00PM, Saturday as needed

Job Summary:


The successful candidate will be tasked with promoting key brands and products distributed by Parrish Tire to key accounts, associate dealers, and new accounts. This role demands an experienced, self-motivated sales professional who can balance active field travel with strategic administrative support to drive revenue growth across the region.


Essential Functions and Tasks:

    Account Penetration: Partner with existing accounts to increase sales, product visibility, and brand awareness through in-person visits, presentations, and digital communication.Relationship Management: Maintain strong customer relationships through ongoing communication and value-driven service.Product Promotion: Launch new products, distribute sales materials, and coordinate training opportunities for new and existing accounts.Program Tracking: Monitor and update assigned customers regarding their achievement levels on associate dealer programs.Business Development: Identify, open, and onboard new accounts while coordinating sales coverage and distribution services.Market Intelligence: Provide feedback to sales management and purchasing regarding market pricing, unmet customer demand, and potential growth initiatives.Professional Growth: Continuously develop tire industry and product knowledge through training opportunities, self-study, and cross-training.

Qualifications:

    Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of successful B2B outside sales experience, preferably within the tire, automotive aftermarket, or industrial distribution industries.Territory Management: Proven track record of independently managing a geographic territory, optimizing travel routes, and balancing existing account retention with new business development.Consultative Selling: Demonstrated ability to use consultative sales techniques to overcome price objections, present data-driven product solutions, and increase account penetration.Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a history of cultivating long-term trust with diverse clients, from local shop owners to corporate buyers.Licensing & Driving Record: Possess a valid driver’s license and a clean, insurable driving record suitable for extensive regional travel.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    Dependable - Employee must be reliable, responsible and trustworthy, and complete all assigned obligations.Attention to Detail - Employee must be thorough in completing tasks and must always be aware of potential safety issues.Cooperation - Employee must be pleasant with others on the job and display a good-natured, cooperative attitude.Integrity - Employee is required to be honest and ethical.Communication - Employee must provide courteous and clear written and verbal communication with customers and co-workers. Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of passenger, light truck, and commercial tire brands, tread designs, and dealer program structures.Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze customer purchasing trends, track volume attainment levels, and interpret financial metrics like gross margin and ROI.Tech Savviness: Proficient with CRM software, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) for tracking data and generating sales reports.

Required Physical Abilities:

Physical requirements of this position may require a range of activities. These can include, but are not limited to:

Lifting and carrying – the ability to lift and transport objects of specified weights, which may vary by job. For example, a job may require lifting up 25-50lbs regularly. Standing and walking – this position will require standing and walking for periods of timeBending and stooping – bending, stooping, or crouching are requiring to effectively preform essential duties of this position.Reaching and pushing/pulling – the ability to reach for items, push carts, or pull equipment will be necessary for daily activities.
Work Environment:

This position will require employees to work in certain weather conditions, such as heat, cold, as well as potentially confined spaces.
