The Senior Director, Business Development will lead strategic partner sales efforts, develop revenue-generating initiatives, and guide a team of business development professionals toward achieving ambitious growth objectives. This role requires strong leadership, forecasting discipline, and the ability to build trusted relationships across healthcare markets.
- Lead and execute strategic partner sales initiatives to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
- Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing business development team by providing direction, resources, and sales enablement support.
- Drive sales activities and behaviors that increase adoption of healthcare technology solutions among strategic partners, including healthcare vendors, service providers, and technology organizations.
- Build and maintain relationships with executive-level stakeholders and key decision-makers across healthcare organizations.
- Develop accurate sales forecasts, identify risks within opportunities, and implement mitigation strategies to maintain predictable revenue performance.
- Establish and reinforce consultative selling methodologies, sales processes, and best practices across the team.
- Collaborate with direct sales teams, executive leadership, and cross-functional departments to align business strategies and customer initiatives.
- Provide market insights and feedback to support product positioning, competitive strategy, and revenue growth opportunities.
- Ensure effective CRM utilization, including pipeline management, opportunity tracking, forecasting, reporting, and customer engagement documentation.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and professional development activities for new team members.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, confidentiality standards, and healthcare data protection requirements.
The ideal candidate brings extensive enterprise sales leadership experience, strong healthcare industry knowledge, and a demonstrated ability to grow strategic partnerships in complex technology environments.
- 15+ years of relevant sales, business development, or channel development experience.
- 8+ years of experience leading sales teams or managing business development organizations.
- Proven experience selling SaaS, subscription-based technology solutions, or similar enterprise platforms.
- Experience selling healthcare solutions to executive buyers, particularly within revenue cycle management, healthcare operations, or related services.
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience executing strategies in matrixed organizations.
- Demonstrated success achieving or exceeding revenue targets and managing complex sales cycles.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong understanding of strategic selling methodologies, sales processes, and revenue forecasting.
- Ability to adapt quickly, manage changing priorities, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Bachelor’s degree in sales management, business, healthcare, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% as required.
- Competitive base salary range of approximately $160,000–$180,000 USD, depending on experience, skills, location, and internal equity.
