SUPERVISOR - RESPIRATORY CARE in JONESBORO, Arkansas at Saint Bernards Medical Center

The Respiratory Supervisor/Educator is a professional therapist directly responsible for respiratory care staff supervision. The supervisor will provide in-service and orientation of new respiratory therapists and coordinate monthly staff education. The supervisor must possess a good working knowledge of all respiratory care procedures and processes. The supervisor will serve as a role model for all staff by demonstrating clinical competency and leadership. He/She must ensure a safe, organized, and efficient working environment in the respiratory care area. The supervisor must promote good public relations for the department and medical center while maintaining patient confidentiality. Must be able to communicate effectively and project a positive professional attitude toward patients, staff, visitors and students. The supervisor/educator must conduct him/herself in a professional manner at all times . The supervisor/educator will assist the department by performing daily charge reconciliation, new employee and student orientation, mask fit testing and other duties as required. Routinely, assigns and responsibly directs staff. This position is required to utilize independent judgment. The respiratory educator may be required to perform staff education and remediation on all three shifts if needed.
