The Briarwood Retirement Community is hiring a Director of Development to join our Development. This full-time role (32 hours/week, $34–$37.50/hour) is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong fundraising, donor relations, and nonprofit development who is looking to grow in nonprofit development and philanthropy. Typical schedule is within Monday–Friday, with occasional weekend Manager-on-Duty rotation, with flexibility based on organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and cultivate a portfolio of approximately 150 active donors and 40 corporate prospects
- Create and execute strategies for the Annual Appeal, including spring and fall solicitations
- Educate residents and supporters about Legacy giving opportunities
- Assist the Executive Director in cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors capable of leadership and transformational gifts
- Manage the annual golf outing, donor appreciation events, and timely donor acknowledgement and recognition
Qualifications
- Four-year college degree
- 3-5 years of progressive fundraising experience required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Experience with Sage 50/Abila or equivalent development software is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with donors, residents, Board members, and community partners.
- Previous nonprofit fundraising or development experience preferred.
