Hours: 35 hours per week, full-time, (including weekends and evenings as required by the business)

Reports To: Team Leader

Fixed Term Contract- 16th November to 24th December

Pay rate: £13 per hour

.Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and organised Retail Assistant- Stock and Parcel Sorting to support our retail operation. This role is responsible for maintaining stock accuracy, replenishing products, organising parcels for shipping, and ensuring efficient stock movement throughout the business. The successful candidate will be required to hold or obtain a valid DBS check due to the nature of the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, unpack, and process incoming deliveries.

• Organise, sort, and prepare parcels for shipping and collection.

• Ensure that all outgoing shipments are accurately packed, labelled, and dispatched on time.

• Replenish retail stock on the shop floor and maintain product availability.

• Conduct regular stock counts and support inventory audits.

• Move stock safely between storage areas and sales floors.

• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe stockroom environment.

• Assist with stock transfers between locations where required.

• Identify and report stock discrepancies, damages, or shortages.

• Support the retail team with product availability and customer requests.

• Follow company procedures relating to stock handling, security, and health and safety.

Requirements

• Previous experience in stock handling, warehousing, logistics, or retail operations preferred.

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Comfortable lifting and moving stock in line with health and safety guidelines.

• Good communication skills.

• Basic computer skills for stock management systems and shipping platforms.

• Reliable, punctual, and capable of managing workload effectively.

• Willing to undergo a DBS check.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with parcel shipping systems and courier booking platforms.

• Experience performing stock counts and inventory control.

• Retail experience in a fast-paced environment.
