POSITION STATUS: REGULAR PART-TIME, FLSA NON-EXEMPT

HOURS PER WEEK: 40

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

To provide guests and employees with clean and sanitized utensils, plateware, glassware, and equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Provide guests and employees with clean and sanitized utensils, plateware, glassware, and equipment.
• Ensures dishes are sanitized and available as needed.
• Always keeps sanitation solutions in company codes.
• Sets up the dish machine in the AM and closes down the machine in the PM according to company procedures.
• Maintains daily cleanliness and maintenance of the dishwasher machine.
• Washes plateware, glassware, silverware, pots/pans, and kitchen utensils according to sanitation and cleaning procedures.
• Cleans and sanitizes throughout the shift.
• Knowledgeable of chemical handling.
• Places clean plateware, glassware, silverware, and pots/pans on specified shelves according to sanitation and cleaning procedures.
• Keeps dish areas clean by sweeping, mopping floors, wiping countertops, and emptying trash.
• Performs shift change and/or closing duties.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be neatly dressed and well-groomed in a clean approved company dress code attire.
• Stands and walks during 6–8-hour shifts.
• Reaches, bends, stoops, and wipes during shift.
• Lifts and carries supplies and equipment up to 60 lbs. throughout the entire shift and places these items on high and low shelves in storerooms, walk-ins, and freezers.
• Hazards include but are not limited to, cuts from broken glass, metal cans, burns, and slipping and tripping.
• Frequently immerses hand in the water.
• Works frequently in a hot and damp environment.
