Medication Support Specialist I — Entry-Level Pharmacy Support

- Greet and help patients in person and by phone
- Answer routine prescription and process questions (and route clinical ones to licensed staff)
- Prepare refill requests and keep patient records accurate
- Manage calls, messages, and follow-ups so nothing falls through
- Keep documentation organized and audit-ready
- Help stock supplies and flag low inventory early
This role works under supervision and does not perform licensed pharmacy technician or pharmacist duties.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and people skills
- Attention to detail and basic computer skills
- Ability to keep information confidential (HIPAA)
- A genuine interest in building a healthcare career
Preferred:
- Enrolled in or completed a Medical Assistant or healthcare program
- Customer service or healthcare experience
- Familiarity with medical terminology or EHR systems
