On behalf of an external client, Jet Aviation Staffing has been retained to identify a highly skilled aviation professional to support the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the client’s flight department.

Position Summary

The ideal candidate brings significant utility helicopter experience, particularly in long-line and vertical-reference operations, along with the judgment and leadership ability to support a growing flight operation. Experience operating the UH-60 Black Hawk is highly desirable but not required. Candidates with substantial long-line experience on other helicopter platforms will be considered, as aircraft-specific training can be provided.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for an experienced aviation professional:

  • Expert Credentials: Commercial Rotorcraft Helicopter Certificate with the appropriate FAA Medical Certificate required. Additional instructor, ATP, or advanced rotorcraft qualifications are preferred.
  • Proven Experience: Approximately 2,000 hours total helicopter flight time preferred, including approximately 1,000 hours of vertical-reference experience. Strong utility, external-load, and long-line experience required.
  • Aircraft Experience: UH-60 Black Hawk experience preferred but not required. Candidates with strong long-line experience on other helicopter platforms will be considered.
  • Low-Level Operations: Nap-of-the-earth and low-level flight experience preferred.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work a variable schedule based on customer requirements, flight missions, weather, and operational needs.
  • Relocation: Willingness to relocate to Tulsa, Oklahoma, and establish a long-term presence with the organization.

What You’ll Do
  • Fly the Mission: Actively conduct utility, long-line, vertical-reference, and external-load missions based on operational and customer requirements.
  • Crew Leadership & Development: Mentor and guide pilots and operational personnel, coordinate crew schedules and training, monitor qualifications and currency, and support future hiring as the department expands.
  • Champion Safety & Compliance: Maintain a strong safety culture, establish and reinforce operational standards, and ensure compliance with company procedures and applicable FAA requirements.
  • Coordinate Aircraft Readiness: Work closely with maintenance personnel to ensure aircraft availability, resolve discrepancies, and support efficient scheduling of maintenance activities.
  • Represent the Organization: Serve as a professional representative of the company when interacting with customers, vendors, regulatory agencies, ground crews, and aviation industry partners.
What You’ll Experience
  • Dynamic Work Environment: Operate in a variety of demanding utility environments involving external loads, changing terrain, weather conditions, remote locations, and customer-specific mission requirements.
  • Tulsa-Based Operation: This is a full-time position based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, requiring relocation to the area.
Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position is $220,000 - $250,000. Please note that this range is not a guaranteed offer of compensation. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as the candidate’s experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other relevant considerations.
