The Consulting Area Delivery Director is a senior leadership role responsible for driving delivery excellence, customer satisfaction, and portfolio growth across the Eastern United States. This leader oversees a regional delivery portfolio spanning complex enterprise consulting and technology engagements. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in critical projects, escalations, and client relationships. You will work closely with project and engagement leaders, sales teams, resource management, and global delivery organizations to ensure successful execution. The position carries significant accountability for financial performance, utilization, margin, bookings, and customer satisfaction. You will also play a key role in developing high-performing distributed teams and strengthening long-term client partnerships. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where enterprise transformation, digital workflows, and emerging AI capabilities are central to the work.
- Oversee delivery quality, customer satisfaction, and execution standards across the regional project portfolio.
- Serve as a senior escalation point and trusted advisor for client executives, helping resolve complex delivery challenges and mitigate risks.
- Ensure projects are appropriately staffed by partnering with resource management and delivery excellence teams.
- Maintain adherence to delivery methodologies while driving margin control, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Provide active leadership on key engagements by guiding direction, resolving issues, and maintaining high delivery standards.
- Own the regional delivery portfolio, including forecasting, planning, financial performance, and margin achievement.
- Optimize the use of global delivery resources and collaborate effectively with distributed teams across multiple regions.
- Ensure smooth transitions from sales to delivery by aligning project scope, estimates, expectations, and staffing requirements.
- Partner with sales leadership to expand existing accounts, secure new clients, and contribute to regional bookings growth.
- Lead, coach, and mentor direct and indirect delivery professionals while supporting hiring, performance management, and career development.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, trust, accountability, and high performance across the regional delivery organization.
- Track and drive performance against regional KPIs, including bookings, revenue under management, gross margin, customer satisfaction, and utilization.
- Strengthen executive-level client relationships and identify opportunities for account expansion and long-term growth.
- Represent the region in broader delivery initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational priorities and strategic objectives.
- You bring 12+ years of professional services or consulting experience, including approximately 8–12 years in program or project management.
- You have at least 5 years of experience leading delivery portfolios and managing large, distributed teams.
- You possess strong knowledge of ServiceNow domains, delivery methodologies, and portfolio management best practices.
- You have deep expertise in consulting, professional services, enterprise delivery, client account management, and delivery governance.
- You have a strong understanding of portfolio, program, and project management methodologies and operational frameworks.
- You understand enterprise AI delivery, including generative AI, LLMs, Claude, RAG, agentic AI, workflow automation, data readiness, cloud platforms, AI governance, and adoption.
- You have broad knowledge of ServiceNow platform capabilities, enterprise workflows, integrations, and AI-enabled experiences.
- You demonstrate a proven ability to build client trust, manage risk, and maintain strong financial performance across services portfolios.
- You bring excellent leadership, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills, including experience working across multiple time zones.
- You hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification, while advanced certifications such as Agile, PMP, Scrum, or ServiceNow SPM are preferred.
- You demonstrate strong commercial judgment, strategic thinking, and the ability to balance customer outcomes, operational performance, and business growth.
- The role offers a remote working arrangement for candidates based in the Eastern United States.
