Design Engineer, Site

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Design Engineer, Site based in the Canada .

As a Design Engineer, Site, you will own the design, development, and performance of a high-impact web presence that plays a central role in driving organic growth and user adoption. You’ll work at the intersection of frontend engineering, design, marketing, and growth to create polished, performant digital experiences. The role combines hands-on development with strong creative and technical ownership. You’ll build reusable components, evolve frontend architecture, and maintain core website experiences across multiple content surfaces. You’ll also contribute to SEO, experimentation, analytics, and conversion optimization initiatives. This is an ideal opportunity for a frontend-focused full-stack engineer who cares deeply about craftsmanship, performance, and building exceptional user experiences.

Accountabilities:
  • Design and ship pixel-perfect, reusable frontend components and complex web experiences with a strong focus on quality and consistency.
  • Own and maintain core website experiences, including the homepage, product pages, blog, learning and resource hubs, and other high-visibility digital surfaces.
  • Build microsites and contribute to scalable frontend architecture, ensuring code remains performant, maintainable, and easy to evolve.
  • Integrate and maintain CMS platforms and workflows to support efficient content creation and publishing.
  • Implement technical SEO best practices and contribute to initiatives designed to increase organic visibility and traffic.
  • Plan, execute, and analyze A/B tests to improve user engagement, conversion rates, and growth outcomes.
  • Integrate analytics, attribution, and marketing technologies such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and HubSpot.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, marketing, and leadership to translate creative concepts and growth initiatives into high-quality digital experiences.
Requirements
  • Deep expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, React.js, Node.js, and modern frameworks such as Next.js.
  • Strong experience building high-quality frontend systems and reusable components, with a demonstrated focus on performance, accessibility, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Experience with web design, design systems, and translating visual concepts into polished, production-ready interfaces.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering pixel-perfect user experiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and an eagerness to continuously learn and improve.
  • A bias toward action, with the ability to make informed decisions, iterate quickly, and take calculated risks.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams across engineering, design, marketing, and leadership.
  • Based in the Americas, ideally with availability aligned to EST working hours.
  • Familiarity with technical SEO fundamentals is a plus.
  • Experience with CMS platforms such as Contentful or Sanity is a plus.
  • Experience integrating website analytics and marketing platforms, including Google Analytics or HubSpot, is a plus.
  • Experience working on developer-focused products, technology platforms, or startups is a plus.
