Overview
• We are seeking a proactive and innovative Assistant Controller to join our growing team. This newly created position is ideal for a dynamic professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and is eager to contribute fresh ideas to streamline processes and enhance financial operations. The Assistant Controller will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, developing efficient workflows, and supporting the company’s strategic goals. The Assistant Controller will assist in overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities

Key Responsibilities
• Assist in overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
• Develop and implement new processes to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and operations
• Collaborate with department heads to create budgets, forecasts, and financial models that support decision-making
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and internal controls
• Support year-end audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
• Lead or participate in special projects, such as system upgrades or process automation initiatives
• Mentor and train accounting staff to build a high-performing and adaptable team
• Bring innovative solutions and a forward-thinking approach to continuously enhance the accounting function

Knowledge and Experience Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification preferred but not required)
• 3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a fast-paced or rapidly growing environment
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel (experience with specific software is a plus)
• Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements and solve complex problems
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
