You will design and scale critical systems that support clinical teams, families, and internal operations across a rapidly evolving platform. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and scaling of modern software systems that power clinical and patient-facing products, ensuring performance, reliability, and usability across the platform.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable full-stack applications, APIs, and backend services supporting clinical workflows and patient care
- Translate business and clinical requirements into robust technical architectures and production-ready systems
- Lead technical decision-making, system design, and architecture discussions across engineering teams
- Mentor and guide engineers, promoting best practices in software development, testing, and system design
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including product, design, and clinical teams to define and deliver features
- Ensure system stability, performance, scalability, and maintainability across cloud-based environments
- Estimate project scope, define technical plans, and help prioritize engineering work aligned with product goals
This role requires strong full-stack engineering expertise, architectural thinking, and experience building scalable systems in fast-paced environments, ideally within healthcare or similarly regulated domains.
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with strong exposure to full-stack development
- Proficiency in modern technologies such as JavaScript, React, Node.js, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Strong understanding of web application architecture, including frontend, backend, APIs, and system integration layers
- Experience designing and deploying scalable applications in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Ability to lead technical discussions, mentor engineers, and influence engineering best practices
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working in fast-paced, product-driven environments with evolving priorities
- Healthcare or virtual care experience is strongly preferred but not required
- Mobile application experience (iOS/Android deployment) is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills with a data-driven and iterative engineering mindset
