This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a HR Compliance Manager based in the United States.
This role is focused on strengthening and scaling HR compliance frameworks across a complex, multi-jurisdictional organization.
You will ensure employment practices, policies, and procedures remain aligned with evolving labor laws and regulatory requirements.
The position plays a critical role in mitigating organizational risk while enabling consistent, compliant, and efficient people operations.
You will partner closely with Legal, Internal Audit, HR Business Partners, and other stakeholders to translate regulations into practical HR guidance.
A key part of the role involves leading audits, maintaining compliance documentation, and supporting required federal and state reporting.
You will also help design and improve scalable HR controls and processes that support a global workforce.
This is a highly collaborative and detail-driven role where precision, judgment, and communication are essential.
- Research, interpret, and translate employment laws and regulatory requirements into actionable HR policies and procedures.
- Provide expert guidance on HR compliance matters, ensuring alignment with federal, state, and international labor regulations.
- Lead HR policy development, updates, and governance processes, including the design of internal controls to mitigate compliance risk.
- Maintain and monitor compliance documentation, risk registers, and control effectiveness through regular audits and reviews.
- Support HR compliance reporting requirements including EEO-1, AAP, VETS-4212, and other statutory filings.
- Partner with Legal, HRIS, and external counsel to support audits, investigations, and regulatory inquiries.
- Assist in compliance training initiatives focused on workplace conduct, labor law, and organizational policies.
- Identify and support process improvement initiatives that enhance HR operational efficiency and compliance maturity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in HR compliance, labor relations, or multi-jurisdictional HR operations.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws including EEO, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, Title VII, NLRA, and DOL regulations.
- Experience supporting federal and state compliance reporting (e.g., EEO-1, AAP, VETS-4212).
- Familiarity with union environments and associated labor compliance considerations is preferred.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to manage complex regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, global, and matrixed environment.
- Master’s degree or legal/compliance certification experience is a plus.
