This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working across multiple Food & Beverage outlets. The Relief Food & Beverage Manager provides leadership coverage during managers scheduled days off, vacation periods, and high-volume business periods, ensuring operational continuity and an exceptional guest experience.

If you are a confident leader who can step into different environments, inspire teams, and maintain high service standards under pressure, we would love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do
  • Act as the on-duty Food & Beverage Manager for designated restaurants, bars, lounges, and banquet functions in the absence of the regular manager.
  • Provide visible, hands-on leadership and ensure smooth day-to-day floor operations.
  • Maintain River Rock Casino Resort’s service standards and commitment to exceptional guest experiences.
  • Supervise service teams and provide direction, coaching, and support throughout the shift.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction, service quality, presentation, timing, and overall operational execution.
  • Build strong relationships with guests and proactively resolve service concerns through effective service recovery.
  • Support banquet operations, including event execution, staffing, service flow, and communication with Culinary and other departments.
  • Coordinate closely with Culinary, Beverage, Banquets, and other operational teams to ensure seamless service.
  • Monitor staffing levels and make operational adjustments based on business volume and guest needs.
  • Oversee opening and closing procedures, cash handling, POS controls, and required end-of-day reporting.
  • Ensure employees follow established service, safety, cash-handling, and operational procedures.
  • Assist with employee training, onboarding, coaching, and development.
  • Communicate effectively with outlet managers and Food & Beverage leadership to ensure seamless shift handovers.
  • Support the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage and outlet leaders with special projects, audits, service initiatives, and operational improvements.
  • Take ownership of unexpected operational challenges and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
What You Bring
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive Food & Beverage management experience, preferably in a luxury hotel, resort, casino, or high-volume hospitality environment.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate Food & Beverage teams across different outlets and service environments.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • A calm, professional, and confident leadership style, particularly during high-volume periods.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant, bar, banquet, and beverage operations.
  • Serving It Right certification required.
  • Food Safe certification is considered an asset.
  • Experience with POS systems, cash handling, and operational reporting is an asset.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods.
Why Join River Rock Casino Resort?
