Key Responsibilities
  • Lead daily receiving operations to ensure inbound materials are received safely, accurately, and on time.
  • Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to unload, move, and store materials.
  • Verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders and receiving documentation, reporting any discrepancies or damaged goods.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and process receipts within inventory or ERP systems.
  • Ensure proper storage, stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO), labeling, and traceability of all materials.
  • Coordinate with Production, Procurement, and Quality teams to ensure materials are available to support manufacturing schedules.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with cycle counts, stock audits, and inventory reconciliations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in accordance with company standards.
  • Train and support team members on receiving procedures, inventory control, and safe work practices.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, HACCP, FDA, USDA, and workplace safety requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve receiving, inventory, and warehouse efficiency.
Occupational Health and Safety
  • Promote and maintain a culture of safe working practices.
  • Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely and in accordance with company policies.
  • Follow all Company Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Attend safety training sessions and toolbox talks.
  • Report hazards, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas to minimize safety risks.
Food Safety
  • Ensure all receiving, storage, and inventory activities comply with food safety requirements, including HACCP, GMP, and company food safety programs.
  • Verify incoming materials meet food safety and quality requirements.
  • Maintain lot control, product traceability, and inventory accuracy.
  • Report any food safety concerns or risks immediately.
  • Participate in food safety training and compliance activities.
Qualifications & Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in warehouse, receiving, logistics, inventory, or food manufacturing operations preferred.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience operating forklifts and material handling equipment.
  • Experience with inventory systems, ERP systems, or warehouse management systems preferred.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and stock rotation principles.
  • Knowledge of food manufacturing, GMP, HACCP, FDA, and USDA requirements is beneficial.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • English language proficiency (verbal, listening, reading, and writing).
  • Basic computer and data entry skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Physical Job Requirements
  • Food manufacturing and warehouse environment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, twist, and reach throughout the workday.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts and warehouse equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in varying warehouse and storage conditions.
  • Good physical stamina and mobility.
