OVERVIEW:
Working as a Full-time Strategic Sales & Operations Representative, you will be instrumental in creating sales efficiencies within our multi-site contract regions. You will be driving sales and customer relationships within a designated book of business while assisting the region with administrative functions and projects designed to maximize sales time for the other sellers in the region. You will be responsible for assisting with contract reviews and workflows to aid the field in the contract drafting and review process. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
o Driving sales and customer management within an assigned Book of Business
o Facilitating and leading the region and customers with various administrative tasks such as reporting, projects and account receivable functions
o Communicating with Branches, District Managers and RVPs
o Developing strong working relationships between new and existing customers and maintaining relationships by collecting feedback over time
o Reviewing and managing updates and modifications to contract documents through each phase of negotiation
o Facilitating contract executions
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
o Possess or are working towards a degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field OR at least 1 year of Fastenal work experience or equivalent industry experience
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
o Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented
o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
o Work independently as well as in a team environment
o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
o Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs
o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
